    Welcome to the Death Eater Fest 2010 where our motto is: Save a broom, ride a Death Eater! They're dark, they're delicious and they're going to spank you if you don't sign up! ;)

    What is this "Death Eater Fest" you speak of? D:

    [info]deatheaterfest is all about the Death Eaters from the Harry Potter universe. It is an Anonymous Exchange fest which means that every participant will be creating a gift (fic or art) for another participant, and receive one in return. The "anonymous" part is probably self-explanatory; all gifts will be posted anonymously by us, and you should refrain from telling anyone about your assignment until we post the Big Reveal. After that, you are free to post your fic/art on your own journal and wherever else you want.

    What's allowed?

    We love everything! Gen, het, slash and femmeslash are all welcome, and there are no restrictions as to the content, so long as proper warnings are given. So feel free to request dub-con, non-con, cross-gen, chan, incest, BDSM, and whatever else tickles your fancy!

    All fics and art must include at least one known Death Eater; see the list below for reference. Pairings that include a Death Eater and another character are perfectly acceptable, but the focus of your fic/art must be one or more of the characters mentioned below.

    All characters must be Death Eaters in your fic/art i.e. fics/art where Draco or Snape aren't active Death Eaters are not allowed.

    (*) Even though Narcissa Malfoy is not actually a Death Eater, we've decided to add her to the list since she's a popular character and on the "dark side" despite not being an official Voldemort-supporter.

    Feel free to invent a first name for the "nameless" characters.

    + You must be over 18 to participate in this fest.
    + You must join/watch the community as to not miss any important updates/announcements.
    + Please give us an email address you check regularly. We have to be able to reach you; if we don't hear back from you within a week, we will have to assume you're dropping out.
    + Do not sign up for this fest if you know you won't be able to complete your fic/art in two months.
    + If something happens that prevents you completing your assignment, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to work it out. Extensions will be granted.
    + If you drop out until mid-January, we will forgive you. Everyone who drops out after that won't be allowed to participate next year.
    + There is no upper word limit for fics but your fic should be over 1,000 words. Art should be more than a simple sketch and reflect the time you've had to work on it.
    + If your fic is longer than 10,000 words, please let us know where you want us to split it.
    + All fics must be beta-read; if you're having troubles finding a beta, check the beta-post (we will make one in a few weeks) or post a request on [info]hp_betas.
    + Fics should also include all HTML coding.
    + Header codes will be made available in a few weeks.
    + Please name your document/file "USERNAME writing/drawing for USERNAME".
    + When you're ready to submit, send your fic/art to deatheatermod[at]gmail[dot]com with the subject line "USERNAME writing/drawing for USERNAME".

    Assignments sent: November 27th
    Deadline: February 1st
    Posting starts: February 14th
    Reveals: ~ A week after posting ends
